Blanchy’s Tash was a high end night club with cultural and atmospheric merit. The property is affectionately known by its regular and it was one of the earliest night club in Saigon that was still in business. Since launching 7 years ago, it was not long before Blanchy’s had established itself as one of the premier locations to hear big name international DJ’s.
The bar got it name in honour of the first and popular city mayor Paul Blanchy in Saigon from 1895 to 1901. The busy Hai Ba Trung street (Two Trung Sisters) where Blanchy’s Tash is now once was known as ‘Rue Paul Blanchy’ before Ngo Dinh Diem government gave it current name in 1955.
Stepping through the door, you would feel a warm and timeless space. The monochromatic hand-painted map of Saigon back in the early days of the twentieth century, oil painting on canvas, rustic leather, concrete floor, all to bring back past time memories.
The grand innovation
The ever-changing Saigon has been experiencing new trends of nightlight entertainment business. With each new player enter the market bring new concepts that raise the bar and attract party goers. The market has shifted as the result of the customers’ desire for new experience, the owners of the club saw the need of a major transformation.
Blanchy’s Lounge interior and lighting system are designed by oooa, an award-winning architecture studio based in Seville, Spain.
New brand identity
The team developed the new logo around the concept of contemporary and sophisticated design. Given the history of the brand and how it was established in the first place, heritage value plays a major role in the brand development process.

The signature hand drawing letter projects the timeless charm and confidence. It is also used as a seal and a unique identification of the brand. From the interior design, mixology, music service, all are designed to leave a lasting impression. The new art direction gives the lounge a confident, contemporary, and appealing image. This helps to attract its target audience and stand out from the competitors.
To complement the interior design, the team created a set of pattern inspired by the the fingerprint and topology map to implement across the applications.
